Bio
FROM ARTIST PROJECT TO INDEPENDENT PLATFORM
J26 Productions has grown into a connected home for music, artists and electronic-music culture. Alongside Mark’s own releases, the label supports creative relationships and builds projects with a clear identity rather than chasing short-term trends.
The catalogue includes “Reprise” (2026) and “Feel”, brought together as J26V001: Reprise / Feel—the first J26 double A-side 12-inch vinyl edition. It reflects the wider J26 approach: release music digitally, give important records a physical life and connect every format back to the story behind the work.
J26 JOURNAL
In 2026, J26 expanded into independent publishing with the launch of J26 Journal. Issue 001, The Changing Dancefloor, is a free 60-page digital magazine exploring club culture, Liverpool after dark, landmark instruments, festivals, independent studio practice and the people who keep dance music moving forward.
The Journal is available on the web and through the J26 Journal iPhone app, giving readers a dedicated place for each issue, archive material and future editorial projects.
TOOLS, KNOWLEDGE AND THE J26 SHOP
Mark’s production experience also shapes J26’s practical side. He has worked with Cubase since 1990 and currently produces in Cubase 15, while continuing to test instruments, software and workflows across the wider music-production landscape.
That hands-on perspective informs the developing J26 Shop: a curated home for J26 releases, vinyl and selected production tools. Products are chosen for their genuine relevance to music makers, with commercial relationships disclosed clearly and trust placed ahead of volume.
INDEPENDENT BY DESIGN
J26 Productions Ltd is based in Liverpool and remains independent by design. The principles are simple: make work with purpose, credit people properly, share useful knowledge and protect the human feeling at the centre of music.
Whether the output is a record, a vinyl pressing, a magazine, an app, an interview or a practical recommendation, the aim is the same—to build meaningful connections between artists, listeners, readers and music makers.
