ABOUT ARTURIS
CINEMATIC ELECTRONIC MUSIC WITH A DANCEFLOOR PULSE.
Arturis is a three-person electronic music project bringing together vocalist, songwriter and lyricist Leanne McHugh, known as Lea-C, and producers Christopher Robert McHugh from Newcastle and Bill Murray from Belfast. Their music combines electronic production with organic, ancestral, world and cinematic influences, following emotion and atmosphere rather than a fixed genre.
A THREE-WAY CREATIVE PROCESS
Chris and Bill build and shape the production, while Lea-C contributes the vocals, songwriting and lyrics. Ideas can start with any of the three and develop together, with each bringing their own musical instincts to the project.
Lea-C and Chris are married and know each other's musical instincts well. Bill brings another perspective to that relationship, creating a balance that allows the three of them to develop ideas together.
A SOUND BUILT AS A JOURNEY
At the centre of Arturis is a simple idea: electronic music can be powerful without losing its humanity. A track can lift, drive and fill a dancefloor while still carrying a sense of memory, longing or possibility.
That balance gives the project its identity. Melodies are allowed to breathe, rhythms create forward motion and layered soundscapes give each release its own world. The result can feel equally at home in late-night headphones, on a sunrise drive or in the middle of a shared dancefloor—nostalgia and forward motion meeting in the same place.
THE MUSIC
The Arturis catalogue reveals that range. Tides of Life appears in both instrumental and 7-inch forms, while vocal-led work includes Every River and Anima Terrae with Lea-C, and Right Here Waiting with Lea-C and J26.
At J26, Angels Calling, Original Love, Fighting for heaven and Ironic continue the story through direct streaming and downloads. Together, the releases show an artist comfortable moving between intimate detail and large-scale electronic energy without losing the emotional thread that connects them.
THE EML RECORDINGS CHAPTER
Arturis has also built a clear presence in the independent trance world through EML Recordings, the UK label founded in 2009 as the flagship trance imprint of the Electronic Music Lovers group.
Lost In The Silence arrived through EML on 10 July 2026 in Original Mix and Radio Edit forms. Beatport classifies the release as 141 BPM uplifting trance, and EML later reported that it reached number three on Beatport's Trance Releases chart and number 38 on the Trance Hype Singles chart.
That relationship continued with Silent Scream, released on 7 August 2026. Created with Darren Glancy, the 140 BPM vocal-trance collaboration adds another side to the Arturis story: emotionally direct, club-focused and built for a main-floor setting.
These EML releases sit naturally beside the wider catalogue. They show Arturis working within a recognised independent trance community while retaining the melodic scale and emotional character at the centre of the project.
COLLABORATION WITHOUT LOSING IDENTITY
Alongside the three-way collaboration at the heart of Arturis, work with J26 and with Darren Glancy on Silent Scream brings further perspectives to the music. These collaborations build on the project's shared creative identity.
This is collaboration as part of the storytelling: different perspectives meeting inside one coherent musical world.
ARTURIS AT J26
Arturis has a distinct home inside J26 Productions Ltd, alongside the wider J26 world of music, artists, publishing and direct-to-listener releases. J26.online is the central place to discover the story, stream the catalogue and download Arturis music directly—keeping the music, artwork and context together rather than scattering the project across disconnected destinations.
THE ANCESTRAL CALL — OUT NOW
The Ancestral Call by Arturis is out now through J26 Productions Ltd. An 18-track journey through ancestry, landscape, memory and myth, the album blends cinematic electronic textures with Celtic-inspired atmosphere.
